Mountainview Building Group traces its start to fall 1979, when the Mountainview Homes name first opened for business. The company describes itself as family-owned. It began as a small homebuilder and has grown into a firm that builds family homes, luxury condominiums, low-rise housing and commercial spaces. The builder says it has been building to its own standards for more than 45 years. The company's work has been recognized by several industry groups. Its About page lists awards and honours from the Ontario Home Builders' Association, the Niagara Home Builders' Association, Avid Ratings, the National Association of Home Builders and Tarion. It also cites a 2019 Outstanding Corporation Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
