Hometown Hillsdale is in the village of Hillsdale, just north of Barrie, and about two minutes from the junction of Highway 400 and Highway 93. Highway 400 is the main route south to Barrie and the GTA, and north toward Georgian Bay and cottage country, while Highway 93 runs north toward Midland and Penetanguishene.

Hillsdale is a small rural village, so the setting is quieter and more open than a typical subdivision in a larger city. Barrie, just to the south, provides larger shopping centres, hospital services, the Barrie waterfront on Kempenfelt Bay and GO Transit rail service to Toronto.

Schools are assigned by the Simcoe County District School Board and the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board by address. Contact us and we can help you check which schools would serve the community.

Hometown Hillsdale is planned as a community of detached homes on generous lots:

• 50-foot wide lots
• 60-foot wide lots
• 100-foot wide lots
• Lot depths from 120 to 200 feet

Lots of this size are larger than most new subdivision lots closer to Toronto, which gives room for bigger back yards, gardens and outdoor space. Wider lots also tend to allow wider house designs and more flexibility in how a home sits on its lot, which is worth asking about when plans are released.

The community is being built by three builders: Crystal Homes, Fernbrook Homes and Zancor Homes. Floor plans, home sizes, elevations and a features list have not been published yet. Register with us and we will send you plans and pricing as soon as they are released.
