Overview
Aurora II is the second phase of Aurora at Taza Park, a street townhome community by Homes by Avi on the southwest edge of Calgary. Taza Park sits on the western edge of Weaselhead Flats Park and North Glenmore Park. After Aurora I sold out, Avi released Aurora II: a limited collection of 46 street townhomes, priced from the mid $500s before GST.
These are condo-free, individually titled homes, so there are no condo fees or condo board. Avi says it is the only builder in Taza Park offering homes with no condo fees.
The homes
All 46 homes are 2-storey, semi-attached street townhomes with 3 bedrooms. Two plans are offered:
- The Alexis: 1,480 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, from the mid $500s
- The Leonard: 1,620 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms plus flex, 2.5 baths, from the low $600s

- 24 of the homes are set up for an optional 2-bedroom legal secondary suite in the basement

Location and getting around
Aurora is set along Taza Park’s retail main street, which is planned as a walkable hub for shopping and dining. Weaselhead Flats Park, with 237 hectares of forest, trails and the Elbow River, is next door. The Glenmore Pathway network, with about 40 km of trails, is a short walk away.
Stoney Trail, Tsuut’ina Trail, Glenmore Trail and Crowchild Trail give quick access across the city. Avi lists Signal Hill Centre and Westhills Towne Centre within about 10 minutes, Mount Royal University about a 10-minute bike ride away, and Rocky View Hospital nearby.
